Jamon Serrano is a type of cured ham that originated in the mountainous regions of Spain, and it is made from white pigs that have been raised in a controlled environment and fed a diet of grains and other feed.
Cured for a minimum of 12 months, which is the standard for this type of ham. During that time, the ham develops a rich, savoury flavour and a firm texture that is slightly less fatty than other cured hams like Jamon Iberico.
It has a lower salt content than Italian Parma ham, Gluten-free, can be served on its own or paired with ingredients such as melon, cheese, tomato bread, and asparagus
Also can be a popular ingredient in Spanish Paella and various types of pasta.
