Tomme de Savoie

A semi soft cheese from Savoie region in Haute-Savoie near to Swiss border. Made from raw cow's milk, is pale ivory to yellow in colour. Aroma is strongly grassy with ammonia, mushroom and caramel. Flavour is somewhat sweet with a fudge taste and a cirrus tang, a frin example of French gourmet cheese of the Savoie region.
